La FAUCILLE-MIJOUX-LA VATTAY International Ski School (ESI) is located inside the Monts Jura (Ain) ski domain at Col de la Faucille - 8 km from Gex - 25 km from Geneva and 20 Km from Les Rousses. Established at the col de la Faucille shopping center on the national highway RN 5, ESI is very easy to attain coming from Geneva and the Gex country.
La FAUCILLE-MIJOUX-LA VATTAY International ski school is at the heart of the Haut Jura regional preservation park, an area of intermediate mountain with a magnificent alpine ski domain. The well groomed tracks accomodate skiers of all levels in a relaxed ambiance. The Mont Rond station's summit display a breathtaking view - southwards: Geneva, Gex country and the Alps - northwards: Jura mountains and the Valserine's valley. At 3 km from Col de La Faucille, Vattay is the entry point of a superb cross country skiing domain with connexions to Mijoux domain on the west side and les Rousses domain on the east side.
Question: Do ski lessons take place in all weathers?
Answer: Lessons take place even in snowy or rainy conditions. They are canceled only if ski practice become hazardous. In that case, the station close the runs. In case of doubt, you can phone the ESI office +33 (0) 450 41 30 29 before going to the station.
